Abergeldie completes racetrack infrastructure works for the Newcastle 500 V8 Supercars Event

The 2023 Thrifty Newcastle 500, the first event of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship was held over the weekend, with our team playing a significant role in the success of this event.

In the weeks leading up to the event, our construction crew installed over 1550 Concrete Barriers, over 1600 Debris Fence Panels and Pins, 36 Armco Gates, 4 Pedestrian Bridges and 2 Over Track Signs, providing all labour, plant and equipment for maintenance of the scenic track circuit located on Newcastle’s famous foreshore, catering for 167,197 fans across the three days.
