Abergeldie to be recognised as a Finalist at the CCF QLD 2023 Earth Awards for its work on the Minnippi Parklands Shared Path

We are looking forward to a night of celebration this evening at the CCF QLD Earth Awards 2023 where we will be recognised as a Finalist in the Projects $2M to $5M category for our work on the Minnippi Parklands Shared Path for Brisbane City Council. These prestigious awards acknowledge outstanding work in the civil construction industry.

To successfully deliver the project, careful consideration was given to construction methodologies, with several innovations helping to deliver this project on time and within budget. An extremely tight site footprint, load restrictions and flooding of the nearby Bulimba Creek proved challenging for the team. Further to this extensive environmental planning and protections helped to mitigate the impact of works on the existing environment. Some of the environmental challenges included the installation of microbat and squirrel glider nest boxes, ground preparation under arborist supervision along tree protection zones and management of an extremely rare and protected grass, CGI that is endemic to South East Queensland.

Mark Bruzzone, CEO said “Congratulations to our team, the team from Brisbane City Council and everyone involved in the Minnippi Parklands Shared Parth project for your recognition at these awards. The collaborative effort to overcome some significant challenges was exceptional and has created a space for active transport and leisure opportunities for the local community.”
