Abergeldie was founded by Mick Boyle and Robin Craig in 1994 with a mission to build better communities. From humble beginnings, Abergeldie has grown into becoming one of the leading civil contractors in Australia and New Zealand delivering the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.


Our story: Australia

Starting with a single office in Sydney, Abergeldie has expanded its operations throughout Australia and New Zealand, now employing over 650 people. Ingenuity, innovation and determined attention to project planning and management have built our reputation as a leading contractor with a diverse range of capabilities. We apply the professional engineering and management standards of a major contractor but with a collaborative, approachable and flexible culture that adapts to the unique and diverse requirements of clients and projects.

Our story: New Zealand

For more than 30 years, Abergeldie has been providing infrastructure improvements to the local New Zealand community. Since the acquisition of Harker Underground, Abergeldie has grown into a multi-faceted delivery partner in New Zealand that combines its 30-year local knowledge with 25 years of diverse industry experience across bridge and road construction, pipe ramming, pipeline rehabilitation, rail and overhead wiring, and wastewater treatment systems: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.
