Abergeldie collaborating with Sydney Water to improve water quality in Sydney Harbour

We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a contract to deliver a new pump station and supporting infrastructure at Parsley Bay as part of the Refresh Vaucluse and Diamond Bay Project. The project follows extensive community consultation, with Sydney Water exploring all options to safely capture wastewater from the Watsons Bay and Vaucluse areas and divert it away from one of Sydney’s last remaining ocean outfalls at Vaucluse.

We will build a new pump station and supporting infrastructure at Parsley Bay where the existing pipes meet which will allow all wastewater from the Vaucluse and Watsons Bay area to be captured and pumped to the Bondi treatment plant. This project will greatly improve water quality to the benefit of the Vaucluse and Diamond Bay coast by removing wastewater discharged through the existing three ocean outfalls.

CEO Mark Bruzzone “We’re pleased to be collaborating with Sydney Water on this important project and our team will work hard to manage the impact of construction work on the community who use the beautiful beach and park area. We will leave a positive legacy through delivering this critical infrastructure. Benefits will be enjoyed by future generations as we improve water quality in the harbour and protect the health of the local community and marine environment.”
