We are thrilled to have been awarded the Steve Maxwell Platelaying Award 2023 in the Minor Works Category (under $3m) at the PWI NSW Awards night for our work on the Southern Highlands Overtaking Opportunities (SHOO) Early Works in Werai for the ARTC.
The works involved the reconditioning of 273m of both the up and down main south lines, embankment widening, drainage enhancements, and the implementation of signalling systems to facilitate significant operational improvement.
Despite a compressed timeframe, with contract award taking place in January 2023, the works were successfully completed over 66 hours during a Main South Possession in March 2023. This compressed timeline challenged the team, providing limited time to prepare and deliver the works.
