Abergeldie selected to deliver upgrades to the Mardi Water Treatment Plant

We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a contract to undertake design development and construction for upgrades to the Mardi Water Treatment Plant (WTP) for Central Coast Council Water and Sewer. The upgrades will provide increased capacity for safe drinking water to cater for the growth of the Central Coast region while also meeting inter-region transfer commitments.

The contract award follows a successful Early Contractor Involvement process, with the final scope of works including a new Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) process, Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC) facility, treatment plant additions, modifications and activities associated with inlet treatment processes, chemical dosing, clearwater tank as well as civil, and electrical works at the Mardi WTP.

CEO, Mark Bruzzone said “We are very pleased to be collaborating with Central Coast Council to deliver these important upgrades on the Mardi WTP. Our success during the ECI, combined with our strong track record of delivering complex WTP upgrades, self-perform capability, collaborative approach, commitment to safety and experienced team all contributed to this award.”

The upgrades at Mardi Treatment Plant are co-funded by the NSW Government through the Safe and Secure Water Program and Central Coast Council.
