Last Friday night, a keen group of Abergeldie staff participated in the Western Sydney Vinnies Community Sleepout. Team members Madison Hope, Mark Whelan, William Cinc, Brian McGuinness and Janelle Owen braved the cold to ‘sleep rough’ for the night in their backyards, verandahs and couches with a cup of soup and bread for dinner.
The team experienced a small part of what those who are homeless or those who are at risk of homelessness may experience on their journey and helped to raise over $10,000 for this worthy cause. Thank you Team Abergeldie for braving the cold and volunteering your time to support our mission to build better communities.
Overall the event has raised over $240,000 with nearly 400 people participating.
