A keen group of Abergeldie volunteers will participate in Walk for Water, to raise awareness and funds for people around the world to access clean water. Next week, the team will walk, run or cycle for one hour per day for five days.
Sadly, WaterAid estimates 771 million people – one in ten- do not have access to clean water close to home. Each day, women and children across the world are walking long distances to collect and carry water for their families, many spending hours each day to do so and reducing their time to attend school.
CEO Mark Bruzzone said “At Abergeldie, our mission to build better communities extends beyond the infrastructure we deliver. We are very proud to support WaterAid in their efforts to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone. Thank you to our volunteers Madison Hope, Vincent Hoang and Adam Muratore for giving up their time to participate in Walk for Water. Together we can help make a difference and build better communities across the globe.”
