We are pleased to announce a new partnership with Starlight Children's Foundation Australia (Starlight), a leading children’s charity that uses play, creativity and connection to support children and young people through challenging times, enhancing their healthcare experience.
Working alongside health professionals, Starlight brings fun, joy and laughter to seriously ill children, helping them manage stress, anxiety and isolation. Each year, the charity creates over four million positive experiences, and as Australia’s broadest-reaching children’s charity, it is recognised as an integral part of the healthcare system.
The partnership reflects our commitment to supporting children and youth and to contributing to a brighter future, one of four key pillars guiding our sustainability strategy under the Next Generation pillar.
Through the partnership, Abergeldie will support two key Starlight initiatives:
Our teams will also have opportunities to get involved throughout the year, participating in activities that make a meaningful impact on children, young people and their families.
Starlight Children’s Foundation CEO, Louise Baxter, said, “At Starlight, we’re committed to supporting seriously ill children and young people, no matter where they live. Whether it's a teenager connecting with peers through Livewire, or children and families in remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities welcoming Captain Starlight into their clinics. Starlight brings moments of joy and social connection during unimaginably challenging times. Starlight is delighted to partner with Abergeldie to help make these positive experiences possible for more children and young people and their families across Australia.”
Nicola Wallace, General Manager, Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability, said, “We are pleased to partner with Starlight Children’s Foundation. With more than 35 years of experience supporting seriously ill children and young people, Starlight delivers programs that make a real and lasting difference. This partnership aligns strongly with our commitment to building better communities and feedback from our people who expressed a strong interest in supporting a children’s charity. We look forward to working with Starlight and providing opportunities for our people and our teams to support a cause they are passionate about.”
