Abergeldie announces a new partnership with Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia

We are pleased to announce a new partnership with Starlight Children's Foundation Australia (Starlight), a leading children’s charity that uses play, creativity and connection to support children and young people through challenging times, enhancing their healthcare experience. 

Working alongside health professionals, Starlight brings fun, joy and laughter to seriously ill children, helping them manage stress, anxiety and isolation. Each year, the charity creates over four million positive experiences, and as Australia’s broadest-reaching children’s charity, it is recognised as an integral part of the healthcare system.

The partnership reflects our commitment to supporting children and youth and to contributing to a brighter future, one of four key pillars guiding our sustainability strategy under the Next Generation pillar.

Through the partnership, Abergeldie will support two key Starlight initiatives:

• Livewire: a dedicated program for teenagers living with serious illness, disability or chronic health conditions. Through online communities and in-hospital workshops, it connects young people with peers who understand their experiences, building confidence, self-esteem and resilience while reducing stress and isolation.
• Healthier Futures Initiative: works with health professionals to bring Captain Starlight to remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Through song, dance and storytelling, these visits create more positive healthcare experiences, encourage clinic attendance, and help strengthen community confidence in local health services.

Our teams will also have opportunities to get involved throughout the year, participating in activities that make a meaningful impact on children, young people and their families.
