Abergeldie Complex infrastructure is working with Sydney Water to deliver a new pump station and associated infrastructure in one of Sydney’s iconic green spaces – Parsley Bay in Vaucluse.

Yesterday the Abergeldie team celebrated #ThreatenedSpeciesDay with a bake off to shine a spotlight on one of Australia's majestic yet vulnerable creatures—the Powerful Owl!  With only 8,000 Powerful Owls known to exist, Parsley Bay is fortunate to host a pair of Powerful Owls within its reserve, joined by four other pairs believed to also inhabit the Eastern Suburbs.  Known for their size, they can grow up to 65cm tall with a wingspan of 135cm and have an average lifespan of 30 years.

In true creative spirit, each team member decorated their very own version of this incredible species. From bright colours to natural designs, the owls represented both the beauty and the critical importance of protecting these magnificent birds and all threatened species.
