This week, Abergeldie proudly marked Women in Construction Week and celebrated International Women’s Day with a two-part Women in Abergeldie video series and an inspiring panel discussion with four exceptional women from across the business: Sri Somanchi, Nicola Hunt, Kate Cremin, and Kellie Hunt. Moderated by CEO Mark Bruzzone, the panel provided a platform for these women to share their personal journeys and experiences within the engineering and construction industries.

They discussed the importance of diversity and inclusion and offered actionable insights on how to break down barriers, create more inclusive environments, and inspire future generations of women to succeed in construction. The discussion also included a live Q&A session, allowing Abergeldie staff to engage directly with the panelists.

As part of the celebrations, Abergeldie released a two-part Women in Abergeldie video mini-series, which featured insightful conversations with Sri Somanchi, Carla Brookes, Alice McPherson, Kate Cremin, Nicola Hunt, and Amanda Keogh. In these videos, the women shared their diverse experiences in the industry, discussing key issues such as the importance of continuous learning, feeling heard, and being included in the workplace.

Carla Brookes, Community and Stakeholder Engagement Manager, expressed, “I feel like I am at the table, and I am able to be listened to.” Kate Cremin, Project Engineer, added, “Abergeldie has incredible women in senior management roles, and seeing them excel and earn respect is truly inspiring.”

Abergeldie’s ongoing commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive environment continues to pave the way for its people to thrive and fulfill its mission to build better communities.
