We are pleased to announce that we have entered a new three-year partnership with Beyond Blue. Building on a long-standing relationship spanning more than a decade, Abergeldie will contribute $150,000 to Beyond Blue’s 24/7 Support Service, creating access to mental health support for more than 2,200 Australians when they need it.

The Beyond Blue Support Service supports more than 300,000 Australians each year, offering free counselling, advice and referrals via phone, webchat and email. With demand continuing to grow, partnerships like this are essential to ensuring more people can access support when they need it most.

The partnership reflects our commitment to wellness, one of four key pillars guiding our Corporate Social Responsibility governance, which focuses on promoting positive mental health across the construction industry and advancing health research and care.

To mark the partnership, a mental health awareness session was held during Men’s Mental Health Week with our team at Sydney Olympic Park, featuring Beyond Blue volunteer Gavin Wellington, who shared insights into his lived experience and practical guidance on accessing support, helping to build awareness and encourage open conversations about mental health across the team.

Nicola Wallace, General Manager, Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability, said, “We are proud to partner with Beyond Blue and support the important work they do to improve mental health outcomes, providing support and championing early intervention. This reflects our commitment to creating safer, more supportive environments, not only for our people but for the communities where we live and work.”

Beyond Blue CEO, Georgie Harman AO, said, “We’re delighted to build on our long-standing relationship with Abergeldie. They help build the infrastructure communities rely on every day, and this partnership helps to strengthen the support systems people rely on, too.

We know that when struggling, people will often first turn to the communities around them, and with demand continuing to grow, Abergeldie’s support helps ensure more people can reach out earlier, before things escalate.”
