2024 has been another remarkable year for Abergeldie, marked by our milestone 30th anniversary and celebrated with events in Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. This year has been another year of growth and collaboration, achieving a record $676M in annual turnover and welcoming over 270 new team members to the Abergeldie family.

This year we completed several key projects, including the Seaham Weir Refurbishment, the Cessnock Wastewater Treatment Works Upgrade, the  Mandagery Creek Bridge Replacement at Manildra, the Southern Highlands Overtaking Opportunities Early Works, the T-Way Stage 1 and 2 Cycleway at Constitution Hill, the Coolmunda Dam Gates Variable Counterweight Refurbishment, the Korotaha Terrace Stormwater project, and the Churchill East Pump Station.

We also continued our work on critical infrastructure projects, including the New Dubbo Bridge, the Medlow Bath Upgrade, the Castle Hill Recycled Water Resource Recovery Facility Compliance project, upgrades at the Mardi Water Treatment Plant and the Merrimac Wastewater Treatment Plants, the Raising London Circuit project, the Digital Systems Program, New Intercity Fleet AC Feeders Stage 2, track reconditioning works for ARTC in the Hunter Valley and the Wallendbeen Bridge project, and various pipeline renewal projects.

Throughout the year, we also maintained strong collaborative partnerships to deliver complex infrastructure projects under various framework contracts. These include the Central Interceptor project in New Zealand, delivered through the Ghella Abergeldie Joint Venture; design, construction, maintenance, and facility management services for Sydney Water in Sydney's West through the West Region Delivery Team; capital works and renewal projects for Melbourne Water through the Safety Focused Performance Joint Venture; works under the Integrated Planning and Delivery Model for South East Water as part of the ABK Joint Venture; and pipeline renewal services for Yarra Valley Water as one of its two Delivery Partners. Our teams have also worked closely with Unitywater on the Maroochydore STP Upgrade Program and WaterNSW on their Asset Renewals and Replacement Program.

Beyond infrastructure, our teams have generously supported the communities where we live and work. We have participated in many events including the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, Western Sydney Community Sleepout, Water Aid’s gala balls and Walk for Water, the MS Gong Ride and the 7 Bridges Walk. Additionally, we have supported several charitable organisations through donations to Vinnies NSW, WaterAid, Engineers Without Borders, Beyond Blue, Mates in Construction, Special Children’s Christmas Parties, and The Smith Family.

Abergeldie would like to thank its dedicated staff, valued clients, delivery partners, and the broader community for their continued support throughout the year.

Looking ahead to 2025, and in addition to the above mentioned framework contracts, our teams are looking forward to continuing their work on several other significant projects including the Parsley Bay Pump Station, Bribie Island Inlet Works, Southern Highlands Overtaking Opportunities Main Works, an extension of the Central Interceptor project to Point Erin, and a 10-year Asset Upgrade and Renewal framework in New Zealand.
