We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a contract by WaterNSW to deliver significant upgrades to the Prospect Raw Water Pumping Station, a critical piece of infrastructure that helps to maintain reliable water supply to Sydney’s growing population. Located alongside Prospect Reservoir, the pump station can transfer up to 1,400 million litres of water per day from Prospect Reservoir to the Prospect Water Filtration Plant and provides important redundancy in the Greater Sydney drinking water supply system.
The project will enhance the long-term performance, safety, and reliability of the facility through a range of electrical, mechanical, and building improvements. Works include the renewal of critical power supply infrastructure, upgrades to variable speed drives, refurbishment of key valves, ventilation and fire detection upgrades, and drainage improvements to protect critical assets.
Abergeldie has a strong track record in delivering complex water resource infrastructure projects and has served as a Construction Partner delivering civil, structural, mechanical and electrical capital works and renewals across a large geographical footprint in NSW under WaterNSW’s 5-year Asset Renewals and Replacement Program. This included the delivery of the Warragamba Radial Gates Control Measures Upgrade which was recently recognised with a CCF NSW 2026 Earth Award in the $2M -$5M project value category.
CEO, Mark Bruzzone said, “We're proud to continue our long-standing partnership with WaterNSW, delivering infrastructure that plays such an important role in Sydney's water security. Our team has a proven track record of delivering complex water infrastructure projects safely, on time and to a high standard of quality. Through innovative solutions and a collaborative approach, we'll help strengthen the resilience and reliability of this critical asset, supporting WaterNSW's operations and helping to build better communities.”
