Abergeldie is being contracted by Transport for NSW to deliver the Pitt Town Bypass in Sydney’s northwest. The bypass will extend Pitt Town Road past Bathurst Street onto Cattai Road, east of Eldon Street. The bypass will reduce traffic through the town centre, including heavy vehicles, improve journey efficiency for through traffic and improve road safety for local and through road users.

Scope of works

The scope of work includes: 

  • Extension of Pitt Town Road beyond Bathurst Street through to Cattai Road.
  • Construction of two new single-lane roundabouts at Eldon Street and Old Pitt Town Road.
  • Closure of a section of Cattai Road while maintaining access to Buckingham Street.
  • Installing new bridge crossings over Hortons Creek.

Environmental monitoring data

As part of Abergeldie’s commitment to minimising environmental impact and maintaining transparency with the surrounding community, Abergeldie will publish regular environmental monitoring reports as required by the EPL. These reports will be made available as the project progresses.
