Abergeldie awarded the Kemps Creek Gravity Carrier Extension (North) Pipeline project

Sydney Water has awarded Abergeldie a contract to deliver the Kemps Creek Gravity Carrier Extension (North) Pipeline project, a significant Sydney Water wastewater infrastructure project supporting growth across the Upper South Creek catchment in Western Sydney. The project will deliver world-class critical wastewater network facilities and linear infrastructure to meet increasing demand and support projected population and development growth over the next decade, including the Western Sydney International Airport and surrounding suburbs.

The scope of work includes the trenchless construction of approximately 2.9 km of gravity carrier pipeline along with the design, supply and installation of associated GRP maintenance holes and ventilation shafts. This includes civil work, design and construction of temporary works, pipe and fittings supply and installation, and testing and commissioning.

Abergeldie will draw on its extensive experience in delivering complex trenchless and linear water utilities infrastructure together with its proven track record working on major Sydney Water assets. This includes projects delivered directly for Sydney Water such as the Parsley Bay Pump Station, Castle Hill Water Resource Recovery Facility Compliance Upgrade and Rouse Hill Water Recycling Plant Growth Amplification Phase 1. Abergeldie is also a key partner within Sydney Water’s West Region Delivery Team, which has successfully delivered major projects such as the Austral Leppington Trunk Sewer Installation, Camden Rising Main and Nepean Rising Main.
